Office design is deeply personal to us as we understand that many people spend more waking hours in their workspace than they do in their homes. As such, we were very excited to provide an intentional space for our team to work within.
Once a space was secured for both our team and our partners, we created a program outlining the needs of both teams to set us both up for success. We needed at least two conference rooms, two private offices, and two open workspaces, each adjacent to the private offices. Break space was also needed to accommodate up to 15 people to allow for growth for both companies.
Of course, we were excited to envision the aesthetics of the space as well! We wanted the office to read as professional yet happy and uplifting, with multiple winks throughout. The first material we got excited about is this graphic wallcovering from Momentum. We knew it was perfect for the vibe we wanted to set in our more casual meeting space. Later, Jaclyn sourced the perfect pendant to continue the hand sketch quality in our more formal meeting space.
Industrial flooring highlights the public areas and main walkways while each workspace is defined by a unique gray-toned carpet. In the lobby, linear overhead lighting leads visitors into the office with a lounge setting that serves both companies with a hospitable nod. A unique moss wall houses a screen welcoming new visitors or showing off past partnership collaborations.
Accents of emerald green can be seen in the stools and backsplash of the break space, combining the branding of both companies while adding hints of color to this otherwise neutral environment.
Botanicals throughout all areas add vibrance and life to the workspace, welcoming those who frequent the space. Sit/stand desks are the norm throughout our offices as we believe wellness must be integrated as often as possible to allow our teams the most conducive work environment. We’ve also found these desks to encourage collaboration for those who use the standing feature for quick discussions. Practicing what we preach, the private offices hug the inside corridor allowing views to the outdoors and access to natural daylight for everyone using the open workspace.
Jaclyn and I wanted our shared office to really show off our personal style so we turned up the notch on unapologetic girliness. Salmon side walls terminate into a fun backdrop with a very colorful wallcovering by Elitis. A comfy velvet sofa gives us a place for casual conversations.
Our library is where the magic happens as we use this space primarily to team scheme projects. We needed it wide and open with tons of storage. We also used this space to highlight our past Habitat for Humanity builds with all our pink hard hats on display. Neon signage announces that we’re "Breaking Grounds" a term we use as we create new relationships and quite literally, break the grounds for new construction projects.
If you haven’t had the chance to see it in person, please reach out to either Jaclyn or me as we’d both love to give you a tour!
