JOURNEY KIDS DENTAL

The Journey Kids Dental brand is vibrant, playful and fun and the interior design concept takes these concepts into consideration.  Our team worked with the client to create a robust program and then planned the space to support it.  To maximize daylight, teeth cleaning chairs are located along the north and south perimeters of the building with individual treatment rooms, and labs located within the core of the building.  

The entrance impression of this pediatric dental office’s lobby immediately puts the patient and their parent at ease with a clean, bright, and open aesthetic.  Playful pendants suspended above a purple and white reception desk that sprawls across the space, welcome patients, both old and new.  For convenience, the public restrooms are located adjacent to the lobby on the way to the treatment areas.  

Three bays serve this dental practice with two areas used for general cleaning and maintenance and the third dedicated to orthodontics. A different wash of color in each bay helps in wayfinding while coordinating with the brand's jewel toned logo.  Throughout the dental office, wide circulation routes and ample space add to the feeling of openness brought by the lobby.  Larger scale versions of the lobby pendants hang under exposed ceilings in each corridor, adding an organic essence to the clean, straight lines of the interior architecture. Throughout this sophisticated pediatric dental office, oversized graphics of stick figure children are playful additions that add an element that’s both artistic and on point for the brand. 

Cheerfully sterile may seem like an oxymoron but, we believe this concept embodies that concept.  The interior design for this dental office strategically appeals to patients of varying generations while offering a sense of comfort to their parents. We enjoyed bringing this youthful and dynamic brand to life in the build environment.
