2020 has been a heavy one. It’s been a proverbial rollercoaster of highs and lows. Some days I’ve felt shame, elation, fear, hope and excitement all before lunchtime! People I often interact with, both personally and professionally, have been either extending extra grace or have been extra nasty. It seems like the gray area has disappeared on social tact. Division is occurring in all facets of society.
You may or may not know, I have a tattoo of the word grace. I chose it because I often need a reminder to give myself grace since I’m a recovering perfectionist. It represents the cornerstone of my faith and the grace I’ve already received, reminding me to give grace to others.

For me it’s been reading my Bible, checking in with close friends and my new discovery of yoga. I’ve taken yoga classes in the past but, they’ve been few and far between. My business partner and I have been consistently taking Chill Yoga classes on Fridays and it's been transformative for me. It’s provided space and stillness during a time where my brain has been on overdrive. I am truly grateful for the practice and hope to keep at it for the rest of my life.
For Jaclyn it’s been morning runs to the beach with her husband, bikes rides with her pup Owen and taking the time for herself in the morning to check in with her mind and body. Friday partner yoga has been her favorite part of the work week, being a sacred time to chill and unwind.
For Suzette it’s been spending quality time with her loved ones. Enjoying the unexpected surprises she witnesses every day with her daughters and having mommy-daughter outings at least once a month. Her weekends are sacred for family day trips and movie nights at home.
For Vittoria, it’s been spending time with her family, especially her younger brother she just recently moved closer to. She moved from Savannah during this hectic year, so she finds exploring the city through it’s parks and beaches grounding. Taking Sunday’s to organize her space and dump her week into her journal, have been crucial for keeping her sane.
